Hanging out at Winnipeg Mennonite Elementary School

Whenever I get to resource individuals or groups, share the biblical story, or teach new ways of praying, I feel so blessed!
Receiving a blessing (Prayer Labyrinth, Goshen, IN)

This Friday I'll be heading out to Winnipeg Mennonite Elementary School (the Bedson campus) to participate in their Worship Fair, which quite honestly sounds like a fabulous idea. The school invites a whole bunch of presenters to join them for the day. Each presenter offers a 1 hour workshop (one in the morning and one in the afternoon) for small groups on a particular way of praying or engaging faith and the children have the opportunity to learn and experiment together with mentors from outside of their school community. What a gift for all involved!

I will be focusing on the opportunity that we have to use our bodies in communicating with God. Prayer is so much more than bowed heads and clasped hands and I hope the children in my groups will enjoy having space to explore how they might communicate the Lord's Prayer with their bodies. At the end of the day many of the groups will present what they have learned in a special chapel, so the learning of a few will become the learning of many.
